Has Pocahontas Hall at Haskell Indian Nations University been destroyed?
Has Pocahontas Hall at Haskell Indian Nations University been destroyed? Pocahontas Hall was built in 1931, it was named after the daughter of Powhatan, an Algonquian chief. It has most recently been used as a residential hall for first year freshman women. According to our most recent information the inside of the structure has been ruined by pipes that got cold and then burst over the winter break ? We certainly hope that this is not true, while fearing that it is? What a shame that a historical building like Pocahontas Hall could be destroyed by something that in all likelihood could have been prevented. We looked around and found some tips for Haskell Facilities. President Chris Redman may want to put some of these practices into place in order to save other buildings on campus from this same fate.
