Ahhh, Kansas: What Are Your Favorite Things About It?

The 4th of July is as good a day as any other to think about those things we love about where we live. Kansas is a beautiful state and this is a chance for you to share what you love the most about it.

Sexuality: Taste - The Hot, Juicy Taste of Summer

Taste is the last of the five senses before we move on to Sexuality and Spirituality. Summer is the perfect time to think about taste with all of it's big, bold, juicy flavors.

How Did Eight Belles Death Affect the Running of the Triple Crown?

Why I wrote this poem

Every time I walk through old Lawrence, I am fascinated by the 19th century architecture, and I find myself mentally going back to those pre- and post- Quantrill days. I've only lived in Lawrence six years now, but I can appreciate the interesting history of this town. In fact, Lawrence inspired me to write two historical novels about it--Sissy! and All Parts Together, ecompassing Lawrence's remarkable 1862-1865 period.
