Sloan, Wilson file for re-election to Kansas House
Two Lawrence legislators have filed for re-election.
State Rep. Tom Sloan, a Republican, is seeking his 11th term representing the 45th House District, which includes western Lawrence neighborhoods and western Douglas County townships.
And state Rep. John Wilson, a Democrat, is seeking his second term to represent the 10th House District, which includes southeast Lawrence, Baldwin City and portions of rural Douglas County.
Sloan faces Jeremy Ryan Pierce, of Lawrence, in the August GOP primary. Pierce had briefly run for the state Senate in 2012 but dropped out of the race. Wilson remains unchallenged.
