Kobach's `dead' voter lives; Brownback ups price of health care law; students to vote in droves, poll says

Kris Kobach, the Republican candidate for secretary of state, held a news conference to criticize his Democratic opponent Secretary of State Chris Biggs, and alleged there were people fraudulently voting in the place of dead Kansans. He gave an example, saying an Alfred K. Brewer of Sedgwick County was dead but continued to vote. But the Wichita Eagle found Brewer alive and well, raking leaves in his yard. http://www.kansas.com/2010/10/29/1562791/dead-folks-voting-at-least-ones.html
Republican gubernatorial candidate Sam Brownback, a U.S. senator who wants to repeal the new federal health care reform law, says the law will cost $2.6 trillion. Official cost estimates are half that amount, and the Congressional Budget Office projects the law will pay for itself in the long run. http://www.kansascity.com/2010/10/28/2367256/brownback-says-health-care-law.html
Nearly nine out of 10 students at public universities say they will vote, according to a poll by the Docking Institute of Public Affairs at Fort Hays State University. http://www.hdnews.net/Story/student-vote102810

Hey Scott - Man up and just go ahead and tell us who you report to at the Kansas Democratic campaign headquarters.

So are you saying that there is something in this article is not true?

Reality has a well known Liberal bias.

I approve of this message.

kubacker: "Facts should not be reported unless they comport with my opinion about what the facts are. I do not believe that Kevin Yoder committed a crime even though he pleaded guilty to committing a crime. I believe Kris Kobach's claims of voter fraud are accurate even though many have been proven false and none have been proven true. The guy raking his leaves in the photo is probably either a Democrat or a wax figure because he's dead to me."

Repubs can't win with the truth. Lies are all they have left.

87% of college students are going to show up for a mid-term election with no exciting democrat on the ballot. Right.

Actually all of this banter by the Obomite liberals is quite entertaining. Can't wait till Tuesday!
Tea anyone????
ksjayhawk74 2 years, 6 months ago
Yea, who cares if the Health Care Reform actually saves the Country billions of dollars and keeps people from being denied health care or being financially devastated by medical bills even while having insurance, so what?
Let's shut it down just to show them how angry we are about Obama not doing anything to help us Americans.

Yes, again I will be heading to the bestest tea shop in all of lawrence, The House of Cha. Never had a bad experience there and the tea is great!! Thank you for the idea...people drink tea!

Much better than the Boston Tea Party where, instead of drinking the tea, they threw it into the harbor.

Shouldn't some Dem have to appear and say, "I'm Dom Dem, and I approve this story"?

Yes, yes boys. You got him. Longtime "Democrat" Dolph Simons continues to allow Scott to work as a daily mouthpiece for the party, or so you would have people believe. His latest sin? Linking to a front page story in the Wichita Eagle showing how bad a candidate for statewide office fouled his pants with the "dead voter" nonsense; and noting that a candidate for Governor in this state is running around making numbers up out of whole cloth or at least inflating them by 100 percent above the official estimate from the (nonpartisan) CBO.

We'll all lose with those 2 in office.

You got that right, Keith..

Lazarus come forth!
Who needs Jesus when we've got Kobach.
Kobach would make a laughing stock of Kansas if only we had not already done so many times before.
nekansan 2 years, 6 months ago
Well if we are concerned about the accuracy of the voter rolls the solution seems clear. , I think Kobach has already shown that his error rate is much higher than the Chris Biggs. So if we are at all concerned with voter fraud sounds like Biggs wins hands down!

"Nearly nine out of 10 students at public universities say they will vote"
Quite a difference between "saying" and "doing" - we shall see.

9 of 10 when pigs fly. Just a total joke.
booyalab 2 years, 6 months ago
I'd be interested to see the poll results if "I'll vote if I'm not hungover or there aren't any drink specials" was an option.
wprop 2 years, 6 months ago
the only known cases of voter fraud in recient times ....former senator Roger Pine and wife...of course nothing was done to those dishonest "pillars of the community"
