Alaska’s GOP Senate leader has Kansas roots; Roberts on climate change; Brownback gets endorsement

Joe Miller, the tea party and Sarah Palin favorite who leads incumbent U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski in the Alaska Republican primary, is from Kansas. His website states: “He grew up in a working class family in Kansas.”

U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., quoted in the Topeka Capital-Journal this morning on the issue of climate change. “There’s no question there’s some global warming, but I’m not sure what it means. A lot of this is condescending elitism.”

The Kansas Agri-Business Retailers Association has endorsed Republican Sam Brownback for governor. Brownback, a U.S. senator, faces Democrat Tom Holland, a state senator from Baldwin City. The Association’s 700 members include agronomy services, chemical, fertilizer, seed sales and manufacturing companies.
