Multi...funny you mention the light because I love the sort of light one gets in the fall and I tried really hard to capture that in these pictures.

Dave, thanks...that is a nice compliment.

    Punk,

The first one came about because I was trying to shoot leaves lit by light going through them and just happened to turn and saw the ant sitting on the leaves. It may not be apparent but there are also aphids on the leaf and ants often collect honeydew from aphids for food. So this is a nice illustration of the sorts of reciprocal relationships we see between different species in biological communities.

I think the relationship between the ants and the aphids is fascinating because this small creatures have such complex lives.
I am a Libra and the fall is my favorite season. I love the colors, the browns, golds, reds, each tree and bush has its own variation of coloring. Nature really is quite beautiful and I believe we are better if we just stop for a moment and don't think, but just look and appreciate it.
Because of your great pictures we can enjoy this season after it has passed into winter.
Are prints going to be available? They would make really good Christmas gifts.
    Thanks for the pictures.
