ChatterTV week 13 football picks: Who will win Bedlam and Border War?

Time to make some picks for the 13th and final week of regular-season action around the Big 12.

Here are the games:

Thursday: No. 17 Texas A&M (8-3) at Texas (5-6), 7 p.m.

Friday: Colorado (5-6) at No. 16 Nebraska (9-2), 2:30 p.m.

The rest of the games are on Saturday:

No. 15 Missouri (9-2) vs. Kansas (3-8), 11:30 a.m. in Kansas City, Mo.

Kansas State (6-5) at North Texas (3-8), 3 p.m.

No. 14 Oklahoma (9-2) at No. 10 Oklahoma State (10-1), 7 p.m.

Houston (5-6) at Texas Tech (6-5), 7 p.m.

• I’m looking for Kansas to cover the 24-point spread against Missouri in Kansas City, Mo. The Border War has been decided by more than 24 points only once in the last 16 years (2006 when Missouri won, 42-17). Missouri is a considerably better team than Kansas, but I’m expecting the rivalry/hatred angle to fuel the Jayhawks to at least keep it respectable for a while.

• Give me Oklahoma in an upset over Oklahoma State. As I said in the above video, I’ll admit that my preseason pick of the Sooners winning the South had something to do with the pick. But the Sooners know how to beat the Cowboys. They’ve done it seven straight times. And when it comes to representing the South in the Big 12 Championship, no one does it better than Bob Stoops. Oklahoma has played in the conference title game in six of the past eight years.

Interesting matchups across the board. Even more interesting when you consider neither the Big 12 North nor the South division has been decided yet. Oklahoma State and Nebraska have to win to clinch. If not, other teams could leapfrog the Cowboys and Cornhuskers.

What do you guys think about the week 13 matchups?

Have a nice Thanksgiving, all. And as always, discuss.
