Greetings to Kansas football fans and Big 12 fans.

Hope your weekend is going well. If you haven’t seen Inception yet, do yourself a favor and take a trip to the movie theater before next week. Those folks who have seen it can tell you…mind-blowing.

Ah yes, task at hand. I wanted to brief you guys on some plans we have at KUsports.com to start next week.
Big 12 football media days will be taking place Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Irving, Texas. If you’re around the computer for those days (or if you’re at work and feel like slacking off a bit), join us at KUsports.com for some Big 12 discussion and reaction from what’s going on in Texas.

I’ll be at the event alongside KUsports.com online editor Jesse Newell and KU football beat writer Matt Tait. Our goal will be to provide you guys with timely and interesting football content that will spark discussion and get you ready for the season.

We’ll be updating the Conference Chatter blog with media days tidbits as they happen. The plan will also include shooting video of players and coaches, writing stories for the website each day, recording some Spodcasters episodes and hopefully opening up an online chat, where you can present us with questions and/or comments.

The three of us will also be updating our Twitter feeds from Texas, so be sure to follow us. My account is Big12_Spotlight; Jesse’s account is jessenewell; Matt’s account is mctait.

Nebraska will kick off media days at 1 p.m. on Monday afternoon. Baylor, Iowa State and Texas A&M will follow.

On Tuesday, Missouri will get it started at 9 a.m., followed by Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Texas Tech.

Last but not least, on Wednesday, Kansas will speak first at the podium at 9 a.m. The Jayhawks will be followed by Oklahoma, Colorado and Texas.
