Theatre Lawrence is holding auditions for “Shrek,” the musical stage adaptation of the popular Dreamworks film, Monday and Tuesday of next week.

Multiple roles are available for men, women and teens. Children age 10 and older will be considered for the roles of Young Shrek and Young Fiona.

Prospective cast members should come to the theater (4660 Bauer Farm Drive) at 7 p.m. with a short song prepared. Theatre Lawrence suggests wearing clothing that is easy to move in, since participants will learn a short dance routine. The audition will also consist of cold readings from the script.

The show is under the direction of Doug Weaver with music direction by Mary Baker and choreography by Susan Rieger. Scripts are available at the box office for checkout with a $10 deposit.

“Shrek” runs Dec. 6-8, Dec. 12-15 and Dec. 20-23.
