Muslim Religious Leader Declares Obama "The Messiah"
"You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn't care anything about. That's a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking." -Louis FarrakhanCheck out this video of Louis Farrakhan calling Obama "The Messiah"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB-_qUHe3HU

Hopefully McCain will ask Obama the question during the next debate. "The religious leader of the Nation of Islam has declared you sir to be the Messiah. Are you the Messiah?":) I like how it is the Nation of Islam leader - kind of goes with the Obama is a Muslim claim some people have made.

BP,According to Wikipedia as well some exposure I've had to the Quran, Muslims believe Jesus is the Messiah and that he will come to defeat the Antichrist in end times. So, you nutjobs really have to decide, is Obama the Messiah or the Antichrist? I guess you're just talking out of both sides of your mouth, unless you think that Jesus and the Antichrist are one in the same. Surely not, that sounds down right blasephemous. I am an Obama supporter, but don't think he's the Messiah or the Antichrist. I think he is a better choice than McCain for many concrete reasons, including his middle class tax cut proposal and his plan to get us out of Iraq and go after the real terrorists who actually perpetrated 9/11. I know it's the Republicans who are suppose to portray Obama as too risky, but I sure don't want Mr. Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran to take that 3:00 am phone call. He's pretty cranky during the day, I can imagine how irrational and ddiscombogulated he'd be if woken from a deep sleep. Watch the video in the second link to see what fellow Republicans and others are saying about his rage.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messiahhttp://bravenewpac.org/rage/

TopJayhawk,I've been under the impression that Muslims consider Jesus to be a phophet but that he will return at the end of the world and that he sits at the right hand of God. Let me know if that is not correct. I'm sure the Quran is open to many interpretations as is the Bible and Torah.

Who listens to Louis Farrakhan anymore? If he were really supporting Obama, he would realize how much political backlash a statement like this could have. So he's either a McCain supporter, or an idiot.
rodentgirl16 (anonymous) says…
TopJayhawk,The "Hidden Imam" is a Shia belief. As Alia said, in Islamic belief, Jesus is a prophet, and Muslims believe that he will return at the end of the world. Muhammed, who was a human being, will not.BP,Calling Louis Farrakhan a "Muslim religious leader" is like calling Fred Phelps a Christian religious leader. He no more represents the Christian faith than Louis Farrakhan represents the Islamic faith. In fact, I would be surprised if many non-American Muslims even know who he is, let alone consider him a religious leader. It is an interesting discussion though, because it seems like a strange statement for Farrakhan to make. I haven't watched the YouTube video, but is it because he believes Obama to be Jesus (the Messiah), since Obama is a Christian and Muslims believe that Jesus will come back on the Day of Judgement? Just a thought...

Alia Ahmed (Alia Ahmed) says:"....his plan to get us out of Iraq and go after the real terrorists..."Here's the problem with that plan, Alia. Regardless of whether you think it was right of us to go into Iraq, we now have to stay. Barack himself gave the reason why: Iraq has a 79 billion dollar surplus. Some time ago we helped the Afghans purge the Russians from their country. We then left Afghanistan in a cloud of dust. We did not help them rebuild. We did not have a continued presence to solidify the infrastructure, which allowed a terrorist group now known as the Taliban to take over the country. If we leave Iraq now, I believe the same fate awaits them. Afghanistan was a very poor country. Iraq has a surplus. So my question to you Alia (and Barack) is: How many suitcase nukes does 79 billion dollars buy? Also, I believe that politicians and most Americans have this wrong. Killing Osama and top ranking terrorists wont win this war. In fact I could make a pretty strong case that killing Bin Laden would only strengthen Al Quaeda. To win the "War on Terrorism" we must win hearts and minds.

I don't think Obama can be held responsible for what other sources say or consider him to be. Other "paling around" with terrorist claims are weak and will be debunked (if not already). The Alaskan panel that concluded Palin abused power was also politically motivated in my opinion. Weak too.As much as I am growing to dislike McCain (as a candidate) , I could not help but be impressed by his bravery and integrity when he was imprisoned. He declined an early release that N Vietnam offered. McCain held true and declined because he believed that prisoners held longer should be released first. WOW. After that he endured more. Now back to the point. I wish that the campaign will get back to the issues at hand.

Logicsound04 @10:08 has a good round-up of the increasing idiocy produced by Barak's surging poll numbers and McCain's campaigning failures. The name calling of Marxist and socialist is hilarious given the move toward federal intervention into the market in the last few weeks. Bush this weekend is considering taking federal ownership of private banks and Obama is the scary Marxist?Anyway, here are Marion's recent action items:"Barack Hussein Obama is a supporter of terrorism and Marxism who threatens the very core of the American way of life. . . Anyone who votes for the terrorist advocate Barack Hussein Obama is, in fact, a supporter of mass murder and terrorism. . . . Should the loonies of this nation elect the Obamination I will join the resistance. . . . You ain't never seen "white backlash" like you are going to see from this."I know how we treat terrorists and mass murderers in this country. I know they don't deserve to live. So, I want to know what I should do as part of the resistance, as part of the "white backlash." I mean, sure, I can vote and write my representatives and everything, but these are terrorists and terrorist supporters we're talking about. McCain said yesterday, in response to a woman who called Obama an Arab, "No, ma'am. He's a decent, family man, a citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with." Clearly McCain is not leading the resistance effectively who will? What will they do?

Alia -- It's getting scary and I think McCain's recent efforts (weak as they are) to calm down the mob suggests that the Republican leadership is concerned that McCain/Palin rallies are looking too much like Munich beer halls in the 1930s. Now, McCain is getting booed when he makes even the slightest defense of Obama: http://www.mcclatchydc.com/251/story/... baby/bathwater comment is spot on. the McCain camp knows that they're going to lose so they're trying one last desperate attempt to paint Obama as a secret Muslim terrorist. They don't care that they're poisoning our political culture. They don't care that they're acting un-American by inciting violence against their own citizens. They just want money and raw power -- that's all they ever have wanted.
Logan72 (Alia Ahmed) says…
b_d, I was just thinking that the FBI must have a large contigency of staff who probably just review blogs and comments on the internet to try to identify potential problems and extremists. The great thing about our country is people can hold very different views and be protected by free speech, but when does it go over the line to threatening or inciting violence? I think both conservatives and liberals are raising some pretty legitimate questions about when campaigning crosses the line. I really hope no one is serious about the threats they are making at campaign rallies or on the internet. We can all get pretty worked about these issues, but probably 99.9% of us believe in our country's system of selecting leaders and would not take matters in to their own hands.

I just have a real hard time believing your motivation is as pure as the driven snow."Should the Omaination be given the Office, the American people will soon enough realise how they have been duped by the Left and when they see their rights, property and income trampled and stolen by The One..."I'm not sure what the "Omaination" is. Are you really that rattled? Anyway, this is just more histrionic hyperbole. If Obama becomes President it will occur because he was elected by the majority of those who voted and it will be that electorate who "gives" him the Office. The American people have been duped by a large number and variety of politicians for some time. Don't try to act like it just began in this election cycle or that Obama will somehow worsen the situation based solely on your cynical world view. You have little to no credibility to me. I know, you don't care-whatever.I wasn't real happy when the Shrub was "given" the Office by the Supreme Court in 2000. I supported McCain at the time and didn't like the way Bush ran his campaign. Nevertheless (and primarily because I had been a long-time registered Republican), I told my wife and friends I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. I hoped for the best primarily due to the rampant political and ideological division plaguing this country and Bush's apparently ill deserved reputation for working across the aisle. Now after being force-fed Bush's version of Republican "values" for the last 8 years, I've more than had enough. I believe most of America has as well. If you insist on being angry as you so apparently do, I suggest you focus that acrimony, frustration and disdain on the folks truly responsible for your condition. You already know who they are and they are you.

The newspaper carried the story in our local area, that was not carried nationally, that there was to be a homosexual parade there on the Monday that the Katrina came."Here's the advice McCain was given when he got the Republican nomination on how to handle his relationship with the controversial Hagee, "Now that he has secured the Republican nomination for president, and has received the endorsement of President Bush, McCain will now embark on a series of fundraising events. When he meets with Catholics, he is going to be asked about his ties to Hagee. He should also be asked whether he approves of comments like this: "A Godless theology of hate that no one dared try to stop for a thousand years produced a harvest of hate." That quote is proudly cited by David Brog in his recent book, Standing with Israel. Both Brog and Hagee clearly identify the Roman Catholic Church as spawning a "theology of hate." http://www.cjr.org/campaign_desk/the_...

The Republicans have the next Ronald Reagan in waiting - that person being Sarah Palin. The Democrats will have the House, the Senate and the Presidency. We are in for a long 4 years of hell.Locally, Lawrence has been in a recession for 7 years now. So goes Lawrence, so goes the rest of the country? If you think things are screwed up locally, just wait for the Socialism to happen on a national scale.

These ARE facts indieObama was a trainer for an organization that has been convicted numerous times of committing voter fraud and his campaign donated $800,000 to that organization, ACORN.Obama was an attorney who represented ACORN that fought to let low income people obtain loans they couldn't afford. This could be fun if I had the time to do some more research on some of the FACTS about Obama. It is too late. I can't just copy and paste something from another blog - if I find a good rebuttal I will sooner rather than write something on my own later.Nighty, night.

"further, some polls are showing a *shrinking* lead for Barry H. Obama. More people *are* learning about his questionable associations. more people are learning that Barry H. Obama *couldn't even pass a basic security screen."-bearded gnome"Some polls", huh? Care to provide a link to them? What about your claim regarding "basic security checks"? Please enlighten us with the source of that claim as well. Here's a link to "some polls" for you. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epol...

Go to Mecca and talk to some real Muslims and you'll find out that the Nation of Islam in this country has very little to do with real Islam. Farrakhan is full of it. Obama rebuked him in the beginning.

Did anyone consider that Farakan is endorsing Obama in order to turn people off. I mean, Obama is a Christian, he isn't a descendent of slaves, he was raised in a white family with all the advantages that whites have, despite periods of poverty. If anything, I think he really hates Obama and would like to see him fail. He knows an endorsement from him would turn off some people, and make people like Marion rabid.

Marion, i just re read the post before my first one and realized who it belonged to. Glad to see your crazy butt is still around fanning the flames of bulls#!t. Now go re read my first post. Can't agree with you on anything but glad to have you around to argue with!! Have you forgotten that Barack is half white and was raised by his all white grandparents? He distanced himself from Farrakhan a long time ago.

"Since through accident of birth, I happen to be "white", I am a bit more than concerned by such rhetoric as would be any rational person when the target of death threats."Marion, I also happen to be white. No accidents involved-just the offspring of two white parents. I'm not the slightest bit concerned about Farrakhan's rants. Frankly, you lost me when you alluded to being a "rational person".You did, however, hit the nail on the head when you characterized this garbage as a "Farrakhan/Obama conspiracy theory".

For the last 45 minutes I have been laughing non stop. Facts are facts, and I would not even think about voting for either one of the corporate candidates. Many reasons already mentioned, but one that both support the bailout of wallstreet

Just another reason I am NOT voting for Obama

What if Joe Biden got kicked out of a class in Law school for plagiarism? What if Joe Biden graduated as #76 of 85 of his Law school and lied and said he graduated in the top half? What if he claimed he had a full academic scholarship in Law school, but really only had a half, need-based scholarship? What if he claimed he won an award for being an outstanding student in his major, but actually didn't? What if he claimed he graduated with three degrees, but really only graduated with one? What if he was only a 'c' student who actually graduated 506th in a class of 688? What if he claimed he won the International Moot Court competition, but really didn't win it? What if Joe Biden got caught plagiarizing a speech written by, Neil Kinnock, a British politician? What if he plagiarized part of a speech by Bobby Kennedy?Well, guess what? All these what ifs are actually true. Biden IS a chronic liar.

Marion Lynn,Our current Republican president has already done a great job of moving our country to a socialist state. As I heard someone say today about our current system, "They to privatize the gains (stockholders, CEO's) and socialize the losses (taxpayers)". We already have a redistribution of wealth. Your fear mongering is not going to work, we now have a subsized financial system to go along with our subsidized agricultural system, transportation system, etc, etc, etc.

Marion,That sounds like a McCain tactic, ignore the message because it's right on and attack the messenger. Here's one link of the 28,300 hits I got when I googled private the profits, socialize the losses. http://www.opednews.com/maxwrite/diar...
