Anyone out there have a child with PDD NOS? It seems as though it may be a precursor to aspergers syndrome, what I call a "space holder" for aspergers since the psychologist dont know enough about it in the US to actually even try to diagnose it until basically the school does around 9 yrs-11 yrs? I think the earlier the correct diagnosis, the quicker you can start with interventions that work. I think too many are avoiding it because they are so unsure of the characteristics. It is serious and parents need help. The children suffer in limbo with an improper diagnosis and not enough help. Anyone feel like I do? I would love to do something about it.
