Interactive Miles Davis Song Title Game
Theyards picked Miles Davis for our interactive game this week. I am not an avid jazz fan, but if I am going to listen to jazz it will be Miles Davis.
Miles Davis accomplished a great deal in his sixty- five years on earth - much of that had to do with his love for music. Davis was a composer, band leader and an incredible jazz trumpeter who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the St. Louis Walk of Fame, the Big Band and Jazz Halls of Fame. and Down Beat's Jazz Hall of Fame.
He is considered to be at the foreground of every major development in jazz from World War II to the 1990's. He not only played cool jazz and bebop, but was instrumental in the development of modal jazz and jazz fusion.
Rules of the game: 5 points for each correct post, use the last letter of the song title posted before you to come up with the first letter of your song post, do not post consecutively - allow someone else to post in between your posts, if one letter is totally used we go on to the next, etc., etc., and the winner gets to pick the next week's performer for our game (althought I might throw in an extra game!).
I love listening to Acid Jazz - we are starting with a Z! Ready, set, go!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the comments, camper, hope you find some good listening tunes - theyards will sell you on Miles as he sure did me. (I blame this slow game on him!!!! :)) It is fine since we are also learning about a different style of music. Leaving my comfort zone and finding others are just as comfortable.
