The 20 most clicked on KU sports stories of 2013
As you might have guessed, Kansas basketball dominated the list of KUsports.com’s Top 10 most clicked on stories of 2013.
But it wasn’t just game stories and features that made Jayhawk fans smile during the past 12 months. A deeper look at the list indicates that newsy recruiting stories maintained their place at the top of the food chain when it comes to what KU hoops fans crave.
Half of the Top 10 had a recruiting flavor and more than half of the Top 20 traffic getters had to do with recruiting targets or those players after their arrival in town.
One of the biggest surprises in looking back at the traffic from the past 365 days was the fact that the Rio Adams saga — should I stay or should I go – produced four of the top 20 most read stories on our site. As a whole, that one topic was responsible for more than 82,000 pageviews. Seems strange for a guy who scored just 27 points in 24 games during his lone year at Kansas and now isn’t playing Div. I ball at all.
But the appeal of the unknown is strong and few things show that like the following list. Enjoy the trip down Memory Lane and, rest assured, there’ll be more where this came from in 2014.
