Plastic Recycling locaton?
My girlfriend and I have started trying to recycle as much as we can. We go to the local drop-off points to drop off paper and clothes and what not. We have no idea where to drop off all the plastic we have. You would think as much as lawrence is kinda going green, it would easy to find a place to drop off plastic.
I just want to know where to do this and to make it easy for me.

The Wal-Mart on Iowa has a good recycling facility. Even though I'm all the way over on 6th, this is where I go to recycle. I think they are open until 8 pm M-Sa then until 6 pm on Sundays. I agree with you though, Lawrence should have more places than Wal-Mart to recycle plastic, glass, aluminum, and chipboard.

…and besides the easier they make it for people by adding more locations to recycle, the more it will get done.

Well, I wonder what we need to do to get this rolling. I save plastic all the time. I get a lot of it. I get sick of it then throw it away. I live in NW Lawrence so it would be pointless for me to drive to the other side to drop this stuff off. I'm never over there.

There are people who for a minimal monthly fee, maybe $15/month, will pick up your recycling. Check with the city. They should have a list.

Well, that's what I am going to avoid. I don't mind taking it somewhere. But, I'm not going to have it cost me. There should just be a drop-off for plastic. It's that simple.

I love curbside recycling!! I recommend it to everyone. Sunflower Curbside takes all plastics and it's not expensive. www.kansasrecycles.com
