The storm included winds that exceed 80 mph. Over 8,000 residents were without power for part of the evening.
The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in Douglas County overnight at 1:04 a.m. near Stull as an F-2 type tornado. The tornado spent two minutes on the ground and left a fierce storm in its wake.
