The 'Puppy Raiser'

By Shaun Hittle · January 16, 2012 · Comment on this

Every day, Lawrence woman Nancy Giossi brings McLaren, a 2-year-old golden retriever, to work at the KU Department of Continuing Education. McLaren is the fourth dog Giossi — known as a "puppy raiser" — has raised for KSDS in Washington, Kan., where the dog will be trained to be an assistance dog. Check the LJWorld this weekend for a full feature on KSDS.

Every day, not "Everyday." Also, wouldn't she be better identified as "Lawrence resident" instead of "Lawrence woman"?

My video captions slip by the copy editors...You are correct on "everyday" as an adverb. But the resident vs. woman is a judgement call I believe.

KSDS is a GREAT organization and the people who support it are contributing much of value. Thanks!

Very great organization that I am more than proud to be a part of. Ironic and frustrating to me though, was while raising a puppy as a college student for KSDS I wasn't able to take him to my classes on the campus because he wasn't allowed since he was still a puppy in training.
