Missouri will never, ever find this in the SEC. When you choose to end a relationship, sometimes you have you to leave the best part of it behind. How many times since has Nebraska or Colorado been on national television...even from a football standpoint. They just don't get it and probably never will. RCJH!!!
MU WILL RUE THE DAY THEY LEFT THE BIG 12. IT WAS ALL DONE FOR THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR. THEY HAVE NOTHING TO ADD TO THE SEC. THEY WILL FAIR NO BETTER THAN NEBRASKA OR COLORADO. THEY WILL BE DEVOURED IN BOTH SPORTS. KU OR K-STATE OR NO OTHER BIG-12 SCHOOL SHOULD EVER SCHEDULE THEM IN ANYTHING.
The border war games in basketball have literally been the closest mizzou has ever experienced to that of a National Championship game! As a member of the Big-XII, mizzou was guaranteed at least 2 opportunities each season to play a perennial power in KU. The Jayhawks continue to maintain their status as a National Championship contender year after year after year... Of course mizzou wants to continue to have the opportunity to play the Jayhawks, KU represents the standard by which mizzou has always measured their worth!! KU doesn't need you, never has and never will. Your choice to run to the SEC,,, Your new border war is with Arkansas. Cheers!! RCJH!!!
The Kansas City Missouri area was sold out by Jay Nixon, Mike Alden and the rest of the St. Louis control of the University of Missouri. St. Louis never did like the role that Kansas City played in the Big6/7/8/12 and the tournaments. Additionally, because the way the University of Missouri system is structured, Columbia controls the other state schools and ultimately their athletic programs; to the detriment of UMKC, Missouri State, Rolla and others. This is quite different than the Kansas system, controlled by a Board of Regents, which has allowed the 6 state schools to operate somewhat independently! If we want to resume a Missouri connection, let's play UMKC or Missouri State, that ought to really gall Mizzou!
