A step back in time at the Bald Eagle Rendezvous living history event Thursday in Lecompton.

Living History is for many of us our first time at real history, lived today, within environments other than books. It is a great concept, and these people are doing a very good job of it. Why not include their names, in addition to Chris Cruz, tomahawk thrower? Who was playing the flute? Who was involved with the anvil? Many younger people today have never even seen an anvil.
This is what State Fairs and local county fairs should have much more of, so we could better understand the real history of Kansas, which is much more than just books.
