Lawrence artist Elden Tefft creates sandrat sculpture to honor North Lawrence residents
Lawrence artist Elden Tefft is creating the "Sandy the Sandrat" sculpture in honor of North Lawrence residents, who consider themselves sandrats, and are in need of a mascot. The annual North Lawrence Sandrat reunion is Saturday, June 4, and attendees will have a chance to get an early look at the sculpture in progress.
