Wakarusa Valley School celebrates last day of the school year

By Mike Yoder · May 24, 2011 · Comment on this

Wakarusa Valley School celebrated the end of the school year Tuesday, May 24, 2011, with their traditional silly string fight. It was a bittersweet celebration for the school, which is set to close after the 2010-2011 school year year.

Always a proud parent of Wakarusa Valley students! Gee, what's the board going to do now that they don't have us to kick around?

I remember the last day of classes at East Heights Elementary School. Although the building was to be used that next year, it would never be a grade school again. The graduation ceremonies were pretty memorable for me as a parent and staff member. It looks as if Wakarusa Valley sent their students off with lots of good memories and a very fun last day. All the very best to the Wakarusa Valley community families.

What a great video! This should be done for each school. It could be coupled with advertisements which are appropriate for each age group. Lawrence
