Luke Ulrich, who lives south of Lawrence, gets ready for this year's wheat harvest on Monday June 20, 2011. He's expecting a good crop, but says you can never tell until you actually get the crop harvested.

The Kansas Wheat Harvest should be shown throughout the nation. Trucks and harvesters could be shown from all over Kansas. Every week the Journal World could show a video from a different part of the state, as well as personal interviews each week from a different area of Kansas. It's truly an event that calls not just for videos, but paintings, drawings and other kinds of special events in this special year (150th anniversary of Kansas). I don't know Luke personally, but I give him thanks. It's a good video! Lawrence
