An Overland Park man and rural Lawrence woman were taken to the hospital Friday morning after a two-vehicle accident southeast of Lawrence. Sgt. Steve Lewis, a Douglas County Sheriff's spokesman, said James Miller, 18, of Overland Park, and Kimberly Taylor, 37, of rural Lawrence, were taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after the two-vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of North 1100 and East 1750 roads. Lewis said at 10:10 a.m. Miller was driving a 2004 Ford Explorer east on North 1100 Road, and Taylor was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban north on East 1750 Road. Miller had a stop sign, but he was not familiar with the area and believed the intersection was a four-way stop, Lewis said. He pulled in front of Taylor’s vehicle, and she struck his SUV. Lewis said officers were expected to ticket Miller for failing to yield. Both drivers’ injuries were not believed to be life threatening, and they both wore seat belts. Belinda Rehmer, an LMH spokeswoman, said at 1:30 p.m. Friday that Taylor had been treated and released and that Miller was still being treated.

How about telephone pole is arrested for hate crimes against red suv gas guzzler. Police suspect Brownback conspiracy.

You'll be attacked for assigning responsibility to the drivers. Then there will be endless posts about how SUVs are dangerous and gas guzzlers and anyone who drives one hates the planet, and is the reason for high gas prices, etc. But, that accident had nothing to do with the individuals driving each vehicle!
