Douglas County district attorney offers suggestions to protect yourself from money-wiring scams

Douglas County District Attorney Charles Branson talks about how to prevent becoming the victim of a common scam in which someone claims to be a grandchild in trouble in need of money that has to be wired out of the country. A 90-year-old Lawrence woman lost $18,000 last week as a victim of the scam, according to the Lawrence Police Department.
