Bad thing about them -They have mercury. Besides that horrible toxin- they are fine....

And if properly disposed of that isn't a problem. Consider there is less mercury in the bulb than the mercury that is released in the coal that is burnt to light the incandesent its a win. Mercury exists and we have lived with it. I' much rather it was inside glass than in the air I breathe.
