Snowblowers offer alternative to shovels

Snowblowers are a hot commodity during this cold Kansas winter.

Purchased mine at Fleetwood on 6th street. Honest guys working there as I was about to buy a 2 stage snow thrower and they advised me for my size driveway and sidewalk I would only need a single stage. Their honesty saved me several hundred dollars. I purchased a Toro Powerclear 180 for about $450.00 and it has performed extremely well with all the snow we've received lately.

We bought a snowblower at the end of the season last year. Obviously we did not have to use it and my husband was really questioning our purchase. He has used it twice this season. He is singing praises and thanking me for making that purchase.

2/8/10 Follow up comment...Snowblower has been great so far this winter. Had one minor setback in that all of a sudden it wouldn't start. Took it in to Fleetwood and they knew exactly what the cause was. Toro had issued a service bulletin about a minor problem with a carburetor component and had a repair kit for the problem. Fleetwood quickly took care of the problem and as it was under warranty there was no cost. Once again, they were great with communication and easy to work with.
