Frozen ponds are attracting Lawrence's youth to a relatively uncommon sport in Kansas, hockey. The cold weather has kept the small bodies of water frozen.

Great seeing the boys keeping theirselves busy and having fun during what would normally keep kids in out of the weather.
He is still working towards his dream.
Why arent these kids inside playing nintendo like all the other kids their age?

I re read the article about the Zinn kid trying to put together an ice rink.
It was all written before Obama gave away billions for no employment benefit. No stimulus. Too bad we couldnt have used some of the wasted funds to provide construction jobs, and continued employment for a Lawrence rink.
my 9yr old would love a ice rink she wants to ice skate.

You sure did. I support him in his efforts and dreams. You ought to see the Boy Scout Eagle Project that he is working on. He is a great young man with many irons in the fire.
