"We can't see the chapter did anything wrong" when the brothers let my nephew die is an outrageous statement. They admitted a 19 year old who had just been kicked out of a dorm, that's SAE policy? And they watched a brother die from alcohol poisoning, that's SAE policy? Clearly the problem here goes beyond the local chapter.

Dude. You keep coming back like this and people are going to quit being nice soon.

As a member of a fraternity in years past, I must say that it is not uncommon for the house to create space for a member that is in need. They are a brother, it is what brothers do. What happened to Jason was a tragedy, but it does not mean that it would not have happened somewhere else. The best we can hope for is that those with alcohol dependency find the help they need so that these type of situations can be avoided. Please don't take it the wrong way when I say: "This is not the fault of the Greek system." To blame the Greek system for this would be along the same lines of blaming teachers for students that fail courses.
My heart and my prayers go out to the Wren family and I hope that you are able to find peace.
