The word of a journalist who makes crap up (see the KSU football coaching issues) versus a head coach with a great reputation.

I used the term "journalist" very loosely.

Well, Well, "Mr.Timmy Fitzgerald". You are willing to risk your career and reputation on hear-say? He said she said? Please... Very bold of you to go on a weekly regional show and make a statement, such as this, which has no factual validation. What's wrong, you we're sitting there getting your hopes up in that 1st half, with an uncomfortable 16 point lead, thinking to yourself....Oh Boy, the Drive called me earlier this week and I get to be the Local Media Monkey who gets to report a KSU victory....but.....KU did prevail one more time in Manhatten, now I have to create some BS story to get a rise out of my peers and fans, (which still has no validation)??? Maybe you need to -ummm- make sure your so called intern REALLY heard this before you publicly come out and make an arse out of yourself, during your 15 minutes of fame on the Drive. This is just another lame-arse story coming out of on the behalf of another annual KSU loss to KU. I guarantee you if KSU would in fact have won this would of never of heard of this, and Coach Self would have never been asked about this at the BigXII teleconference. Good Luck in Lawrence soon, we're all waiting to hear the next BS story Timmy!

Really? Racist comments? Give me a break , Timmy. You and your "staff" want to claim you heard racist comments? Name the name(s) of the players. And, how could your staff hear these comments but not the players or refs? I mean, you say the comments were directed towards Clemente...but yet the refs who are closer to the bench than the players in the game more often than not didn't hear anything?

This is what sports journalism has become: tabloid journalism. Timmy ruined K-State football for the next decade because of his poor lack of judgement (thank you, by the way, go hawks!) and now is despirately trying to get back on the good side of the purple pussycat nation. Wow. This could ruin a career. Timmy's and his "staff" that heard racist comments. This is not getting the play that it should, nationally Not from Bill Self having to answer questions but rather from the slanderous accuzations being directed towards college players.

Wow, I guess people will use any excuse for bad behavior and losing a game. Racist is one word that we are quickly wearing out in this country. It seems anytime someone doesn't like something anymore they have to throw race out. By doing this they make something serious trivial. Yeah, I can't imagine that the refs didn't hear this if it was true and I can't imagine Self or any of his staff would stand for it. What I saw was a team on the floor faking fouls more than they were playing. Maybe if they would play ball and stop taking acting lessons they could win a game.
