I said before this started that if Tom Bracciano was involved in this project, there would be problems. I wish the district would wise up and get rid of this buffoon!

Classes should not start until this project is completed; all teachers and students should help out with construction until this crucial project is finished.

They will kick off, they will kick off...........................

......but some kids will not be able to ride buses to school, even in the most inclement weather.

"Captain Harvard, this is Captain Yale......."

Gratuitous Bill Cosby reference for those of you who don't get it.

The pigskin "RULES" even in very hard economic times and you silly people sit back and pay for it.

Did we taxpayers have a say in this? Did the closing of Centennial have anything to do with this? It looks like a darn Olympic village over there.

At the same time that USD 497 cuts bus service to children within 2.5 miles of schools? So what does it mean? Increased traffic on the roads around schools between 7:00 and 9:00 AM; which means more chances for our kids to get hit by cars, not to mention the early morning traffic jams. Nice planning admin! And these are the people who are in charge of teaching our children to think? Whodathunkit? No wonder everyone complains about higher property taxes. I'd be happy to pay more to support our schools if I actually thought it was being used to educate our children, rather then feed pro sports. But in Lawrence educational institutions, sports is King (and Queen). No need to talk about the value of education; just follow the signs ($$$)? In spite of admin, an armful of thanks to the teachers for their dedication to teaching our kids. They deserve more than what we give them.

The figure of $350K in things that were "forgotten about" comes to mind.

Well, shucks. I remember getting our "state of the art" computer lab, circa 1997... in 2001.

Nothing new here!

Probably has to do with the permanant stands. When did they vote on those anyway. Thought they were going to start with temp bleachers? Are they doing that for the baseball field(not!) Not revenue producing just championship producing. Be a while before we see that in football!!!

Wow... Who is the G.C. for this project? Coming in way late and waaaaaaaaay over budget.... I hope LHS has a Late Damages clause to recover some of the tax payer money for this one.

did any of you watch the board meeting last evening? If so you would see that in the presentation for the cost of the pressbox for just Lawrence High, it came to $368,000 over budget! Even to have an elevator to get to the top? Fancy huh? The board apparently just a little upset went into executive session !
