Devout Jews throughout the world celebrated a rare holiday Wednesday that happens only once every 28 years.

I'm sorry, but a celebration of where the sun's position was in the sky the moment the earth was created some 5700 years ago??? I know of no Jew who either believes this or celebrates this. There ain't no such cycle, and I would think that almost all Jews would be as embarrassed about this kind of pronouncement as are most Christians who hear that they are supposed to be against evolution and that the earth was created 4000 years ago. Methinks that the media's latched onto a fringe element and out of ignorance is looking at this as a major Jewish event.
