maybe it was suicide.
Anyone that can do things like this needs to go away. All domesticated animals want to do is hang out with us and be friendly. If they catch whoever is doing this they should probably lock them up and never let them out because eventually there's a good chance they'll make the switch to people. I'm no psychiatrist but these mutilations are so ritualized, and the fact that they're returning the animals is really sick. This person isn't just killing cats, they know who each cat belongs to. They're stalking, or hunting these cats and taking time to figure out who they belong to. Very creepy, and extremely twisted behavior. A lot of people like to cut up and make jokes on these threads about animal torture. People who torture animals - in my book - are right down there with child molesters, not because animals are equal to humans, but because it's the same kind of thing, getting some gratification out of hurting something (someone) weaker than yourself.
I'm glad we keep ours indoors. One of them would be a total bird killing machine if we let him out, and the other one is too dumb to stay out of the street. To a lesser extent, I'm also afraid of situations like this one. Some people really, really hate cats. I'm not a big dog person but I've never felt the need to run one down with my car or any of the other crap I've heard otherwise reasonable people talk about wanting to do to cats.
"doc1" that is not even funny.. really thats wrong and rude..
