I am not saying he shouldn't be tried as an adult. That should be determined after a careful examination and evaluation of the facts of the case. However, whether he is tried as an adult or not, that does not make a "16 year old youth" a "16 year old man." Such is the stuff of biased journalism and spin. As for the rest, don't speak for me and don't imagine for one minute that you would know how I would react if one of my family members had died due to the criminal acts of another.

yeah, well that "young male" became a man at the point in which he stuck a gun in someones face and blew their head off!no sympathy here, he should be tried as an adult. And if he would have blown the head off one of your family members, then you would have wanted him tried as an adult as well.

Bringing back the draft isn't a bad idea. Maybe then people would start to really think about whether bankrupting our country for a misguided adventure in nation building in the Middle East is really a good idea.Of course, the draft needs to apply equally to men and women and heterosexuals and homosexuals alike.

Should have read "16 year-old Lawrence youth" like it did at cjonline.com.

Should have read, Lawrence male. Bring back the draft and the 35 year old would have been in the service getting some verbal abuse, the 20 year old would be in, the 18 year old on his way and the 16, maybe thinking about being shot at instead of shooting. Where did these people get their guns from?

With so many 35 yr old men feeling it's okay to physically and verbally abuse their familes, of course this boy feels he's not guilty.Unfortunately it's become the norm for males to feel they have no responsibility or punishment for their bad behavior.

"A 16 year-old man?" Interesting turn of phrase. No doubt which way Dolph is leaning.

No mercy for a killer who isn't honest with his crime.
