A High Wind Advisory has been issued for Douglas, Leavenworth and Wyandotte counties until 10:00 PM tonight. Expect sustained winds between 20-30 miles per hour with gusts near 40 mph or greater. Temperatures will approach 90 degrees for the afternoon with a strong south wind expected for the day between 20-30 mph with gusts near 40 mph. Expect plenty of sunshine for us through the mid afternoon There is an isolated chance of thunderstorms into the mid-afternoon. The main threat of thundershowers will spread from central Kansas to eastern Kansas for the late evening with the possibility of some of these storms being severe. Rain, hail, high wind and tornadoes are all a possibility for tonight into early Friday morning.
