Temperatures for your Tuesday afternoon will continue to be comfortable ahead of another storm system heading our way. Expect the strong wind to continue for the evening out of the southwest between 15-30 mph leaving us with a 9 p.m. temperature of 41 degrees. Snow is possible tomorrow from mid-morning into the afternoon with an accumulation between one-half to 1 inch.
A Tuesday afternoon car chase took officers east on U.S. Highway 40 before heading north into rural areas west of Lecompton. The suspect was ultimately captured a mile north of Stull, after a Lawrence police officer struck the suspect's vehicle, ending the chase.
Highs today should be in the lower to middle 50s and a gusty south wind. We could have our first accumulating snow tomorrow, but it shouldn't be too big of a deal. One to 2 inches at best with such warm ground temps.
