Sebelius notes plan to lower speed limit

August 22, 2008 · Comment on this

It's bad news for lead-foot drivers, but could be good news for the environment. Governor Sebelius says a proposal to lower the speed limit from 70 to 65 on Kansas highways needs to be looked at closely.

This is another "green" joke. Every car has different efficiencies. Some cars get thier best mpg at 55, others 65, still others 75. Some people will speed anyway so why make us all slow down.Sebelius is too busy trying to leave a "green" legacy that will be measured on the global or national stage. She needs to be worried about Kansans. We need jobs! And I don't mean jobs at casinos. If she was really worried about the well being of our citizens, she would be outlawing gambling and not so worried about coal plants and speed limits.
