Mining's legacy: Walter Wettstein
Former miner Walter Wettstein shares his first-hand experiences of life inside a Kansas coal mine. Wettstein describes his father's stories from the mines as well as his own which began when he was sent below at age 12. He also describes the daily life of miners, loyalty to the union, the dire perils of mining and mining methods of his day.
