Lawrence city commissioners narrowly approve ban on porch couches

So if I move the couch into my yard to sit on it, we're cool then, right?

Lawrence-based Wicked Broadband announces plan to install super-fast 1 gigabit Internet service to Lawrence neighborhood

AT&T has local support and technicians that live right here in Lawrence and respond to outages day and night. In Greensburg, as soon as the tornado passed, at&t's two local technicians raced to the central office to secure the equipment from the rain, knowing phone and Internet would be crucial during recovery efforts. At&t recognized them publicly and monetarily for their heroic efforts. AT&T also installed mobile charging stations for customers in need, regardless of carrier. And had replacement phones available to customers whose phones were lost, and brought in mobile "cows" to provide mobile and Internet services due to towers being gone. This is jut one small example here in Kansas. Big corporations are not a bad thing when you need reliability.

For $50 per month with no phone line, you get 12mbps w att. And since you don't share your line with your neighbors like cable, there are no slow downs at certain times of day.

Cite whatever you want. A bunch of categories developed to fit your argument do not tell the personal story behind each and every woman making this decision.

Lawrence Association of Neighborhoods calls for citywide election on recreation center project

I've seen many gatherings at his house. He hires valets to park guests cars on the street for several blocks around. Nobody parks cars in the parks next to his house.

Lawrence Association of Neighborhoods calls for citywide election on recreation center project

Maybe a vote with a ballot reading "do you support this project or would you rather see improvements to existing infrastructure like the roads and parks in your neighborhood today?" And this would bring the people of Lawrence out to vote. In the last five years, Dolph Simons got the 2300 block of Vermont St street repaved twice and new sidewalks installed. He doesn't care about this initiative. I ride my bike two blocks north on Vermont and am dodging potholes. There is also a great park close to our neighborhood where the basketball court is crumbling concrete and old goals falling apart. There are more neighborhoods that would benefit from existing issues being fixed than this new development. Let's face facts - Fritzel, Compton and friends have spent the time figuring out how to best line their pockets with our tax dollars and have ensured there is city council in place to green light them every step of the way. Too bad in 1994 people trusted city government would take these funds to keep our city from disrepair, not make contractors rich - again.

Escaped sex offender captured Tuesday in Oread neighborhood

As I walked my dog Monday night down Vermont, there were two police cars in front of Dolph Simon's house and one parked closer to 23rd. Three police cars and not one of them stopped me to say why or to be careful. Found out what was going on through TWITTER! Happy to know you have to be a millionaire to get protection and notification by LPD! Called my elderly neighbors myself, since I value their lives as much LPD do the rich.
