New judicial-selection plan fails
Nuss comes across as a fool when he complains about linking the judicial with politics. THEY ARE LINKED and Nuss is a part of that linkage. He has been a beneficiary of politics every time he cashes a paycheck. I would bet that politicians were contacted by him or on his behalf each and every time he was appointed to a plum and well paid state job. He has personally lobbied the politicians for causes that benefit him and He represents the height of hypocricy!!!!!!.

State funding cuts will affect county budget in 2014
Democrat Gaughan whines like most LIBERAL DEMS. It is only fair that if the citizens of Douglas County want services, they should pay for them. With all of the money that the state pumps into Douglas County, I believe the folks in Douglas County should be very thankful and quit whining!!!! Douglas county gets a lot more from the state than they put in.

Lawrence legislators say they hope Kansans will turn the tide on current policies
The LIBERAL DEMS seem to forget the years of LIBERAL SEBELIUS when budget cuts to schools, universities, and social services were made along with taxes and support for local government. It is time for the Dems to offer real alternatives and quit whining.. Elections have consequences and the LIBERALS have been soundly rejected at the polls in the last two elections, including Lawrence's own LIBERAL pride and joy, Tom Holland.

House Speaker Merrick OK with 4 percent cut to higher education
How about each regent school agreeing to submit to zero based budget review performed by experienced local business and financial leaders with common sense cost control as a priority. I bet we would all be surprised at the amount of fluff, waste, and 'Cadillac' spending that could be reduced, eliminated, or would be very hard to justify in these difficult economic times. What do you think?

Former Republican state senator talks about conversion to Democratic Party
LIBERAL SHODORF is where she belongs, with the LIBERALS of LAWERENCE. She was acting as a proud republican, served in a leadership role, and campaigned as a Republican, but was a phoney because she is and always will be a LIBERAL. She and her kind, LIBERALS, got us into this mess.. Remember she was and probably is still on the payroll of Wichita Schools..

Sen. Holland, Revenue Secretary Jordan to discuss impact of state income tax cuts
Who cares what ULTRA LIBERAL HOLLAND has to say or even what he thinks? He had his chance when he ran for Governor and he and his VERY LIBERAL views were soundly rejected by the citizens of Kansas. LOSER HOLLAND will continue to whine and not offer any new ideas that Kansans want to hear.

Statehouse Live: Budget subcommittee cuts KU Med Center proposal, recommends audit of KU
LIBERAI LAURA KELLY is up to her same old tricks, trying to hurt other areas, Wichita and Salina, in order to further her own agenda. And where does it say that LIBERAL LAURA is the one who decides the scope of each committees work, Liberal Laura has a very poor understanding of how the Senate really operate when she makes outlandish statements like these.

Statehouse Live: Fight over taxpayer-financed lobbying ensues
This is a great bill and I support the Chairmans position that when one gets paid theycando what they want with the money. Way to much public/taxpayer money is spent and wasted, this is a great step to make an improvement in the use of public money.

Fighting continues over anti-union bill
Why does this paper and this writer keep giving so much ink to the ULTRA LIBERAL HENSLEY and his LAPDOG DAVIS when they are not relevant in the Legislature. Kansans have rejected their EXTREME LIBERAL VIEWS time and time again. Nobody really cares what they think except their VERY LIBERAL FRIENDS and there aren't very many of them.

Huelskamp's uncompromising positions well-known in Kansas
Huelskamp is true to his campaign promises, his values, and the citizens who elected him by such a wide margin. Those who criticize him must not know him, because he believes what he talks about and does not check his values and promises at the lobbyist counter when he goes to the capital. You may not like his positions, but you are not surprised by them. As far as Dave Kerr, we know that he did not have the guts to take on Huelskamp at the polls and Huelskamp won a highly contested primary among 5 or 6 candidates in 2010.
