Popular breakfast restaurant Milton's returning to downtown in space currently occupied by Loopy's

No surprises here new it was doomed from the start when I heard about it. I know Dave worked with him and generally like him as a person but business wise this is all KARMA playing its hand. The Roost and other breakfast joints will make it nearly impossible for him to make that space work for breakfast. A new concept could work in that space need one Dave you know how to contact me good luck I hope it works put for you.

Basil Leaf Cafe signs deal to locate in former Joe's Bakery building by June or July

There is off street parking provided and I am working with surrounding businesses to hopefully create more spaces in the evening hours for dinner as well.

Thanks for the write up and yes for those who have never heard of us check us out..but not all at once lol :). We are in a super small space right now and short staffed until I hire for the new spot but we will prep up big for the rest of the week to serve all of you who decide to flock in like wild birds all week. We are very very excited to get into an amazing new historic location and show what we can truly do. And YES!! at some point people may see a few unique spins and twists on doughnuts pop up now and then. Please do try us when we open in our new space as the food and ambiance will truly impress you if what we do now hasn't thus far. Town Talk: Milton's restaurant set to close later this month; Convention and Visitors Bureau hires new director; opportunities for chocolate today and Sunday

Good luck Dave, Sula, Billy and Matt,
Very risky and odd that you would leave such a great space for a much smaller venture but good luck just the same. I just don't see much profit or room for growth in such a small spot maybe you know something I don't. It doesn't look like you can squeeze more than a couple dozen people in that spot that's one reason I never looked into it for my business. With that said anyone know who to contact to talk about leasing Milton's space, I have wanted it for years, would be nice to at least have a chance at negotiating a deal for the space I would bring some amazing old school breakfast items to mass street while adding some unique items like my famous breakfast lasagna. Good luck look forward to seeing what you guys have planned..

Town Talk: Esquina to close in downtown Lawrence, St. Louis-style Italian restaurant to take its place; City Hall to pay company's moving expenses; tougher tow regulations on tap for Lawrence

Thanks for the basil leaf shout outs from the owner..Though I can't really label us Italian food we are more world cuisine. We just base it off of noodles. I will say we have some of the best pastas around and try and stay creative and unique, speaking of which our fall winter menu comes out soon check it out..to bad that space is already taken would of loved it for myself to show what we can really do oh well I'll keep looking..I agree with esquina comments I dined there numerous times in hopes of being impressed, as far as Italian Genovese has my vote 715 not so much I like my food seasoned, and Lydias hands down amazing authentic italian food...Thanks hope to see some of you at the gas stop pasta shop soon be well, and good luck to the new guys in town I look forward to dining there when they open
