A note about recent changes

Alex, my inbox here says you sent me a message, but it is not showing up on gmail, which appears to be a problem with Knology. I have started a new e-mail with att but don't see any way to change my e-mail for my user account. Any suggestions?

Man's car containing his mother's ashes stolen from Lawrence parking lot

So of course I had to check. Wonder if it is the same guy. Karma?

Kansas tax act most regressive in nation

So does this mean the profit from rental properties will be tax free? Will the bigger rental companies in Lawrence then lower rents? Yeah right.

Groundbreaking ceremony heralds St. John’s expansion

You should try getting by or out of Prairie Park school in the morning. Backs up for blocks in both directions when the weather is bad.

Program to help with sidewalk repairs

Pretty much the same experience. What some people don't realize is when they turn in one property, the city inspector must do the entire block and it then involves several properties of people that may not be able to afford it.

It's called credit, not money. They give you a deadline to have the work done.

Of course they start this just after they make me spend over $3,000 to replace our sidewalk.

Fowl law

They should have given Orscheln the extra two weeks while they did some checking on the care and needs for baby chicks and addressed the problem for next year. I recently was forced to obey an order by a city official at my financial expense that was not a city ordinance. City employees just decided that's what they wanted. I know for a fact that not everyone is held to the same rule, it's all in who you know. I'm sure besides the chicks, people bought supplies for the chicks. Now they must shop outside the city, sales tax revenues lost, what happened to shop locally?
