One person killed in rollover accident on U.S. Highway 59, south of Pleasant Grove Hill

Makes you wonder. I've seen people up and down K10 all the time texting and driving going 70+ MPH. Does it seem worth that text to risk the lives of others or yourself. (Not saying that this is what this particular situation is, just in general.)

Flash mob at St. Patrick's Day parade

To those of you leaving rude comments shame on you. The parade is a family friendly FREE event! The group was just trying to have fun and be part of something. Anyone in the community is welcome to register to be part of the parade if you would like to do your own thing. I'm not saying that I liked or dis liked it. But be an adult and keep bad comments to your self!

Lawrence school board seeks new names for middle schools

If the board feels the need to have something named then get a pet!!! So the schools may not have the most exciting of names but it is what it is! I think it's very sad that the people that make up our school board (with the exception of Mark Bradford) are the ones that are lacking the educational value of a dollar and the economy!

Lawrence voters approve $18 million library expansion

Okay...maybe I'm confused! I thought Lawrence wanted to be a small community setting. Hard core on the downtown area....no? So why are we spending money that isn't there to make it look like we're in New York????? idk....like I said, maybe I'm just confused!

Will you vote for the $18 million library expansion proposal?

If the county is SOOOOO short on funding then why would they even consider this....seriously!
