Derby helps single mom rebound
Televised derby back in the 70's and 90's was frequently staged, it was primarily entertainment, but modern roller derby is actually a sport. Like field hockey, it's primarily a women's sport, but there are men's leagues too. KCRW's first bout is March 2 at Municipal Auditorium. Derby is a heck of a lot of fun to watch and less expensive than a movie.

Derby helps single mom rebound
Several Roller Warriors call Lawrence home. Karma Iza B, a rookie for the Black Eye Susans; ByPolar and Mary Lou Wretched of the Knockouts; and Ivanna Bereave of the Victory Vixens all live or work in Lawrence!!!!!
