Petition seeks Kansas secession from the United States because of Obama's re-election
Here's a better petition:
We petition the Obama administration to:
Strip the Citizenship from Everyone who Signed a Petition to Secede and Exile Them
Mr. President, please sign an executive order such that each American citizen who signed a petition from any state to secede from the USA shall have their citizenship stripped and be peacefully deported.

Do you support a proposed law in the city of Lawrence that would afford protection to transgendered people?
The Caucasianed man walked down the emptied street with his littled whited dog.
They went to the neighborhooded park and played in the greened grass.
Transgender. Not transgendered. Please.

Will you watch the Lawrence Jaycees' Fourth of July fireworks show at 9:45 p.m. Sunday at Watson Park?
... waste of time, money, and resources. Celebrate America by hiking, biking, camping, walking, and enjoying the outdoors. Watching Chinese-made fireworks explode overhead is akin to flushing money down the toilet.

Would you report your neighbor to the city for not mowing his or her lawn?
Of course not. I would discuss it with my neighbor before ratting them out to the city. I'd offer to cut it for them if they wished. What kinda world would it be if we didn't take the time to talk to our neighbors and connect on a personal level? This is where I live and the value of my property doesn't stop at the line between me and my neighbors. The value lies in communicating with my neighbors and making the street where we live a true neighborhood. Yes, I know, most people are glued to their TVs, computers, and video games. Thankfully, our neighborhood is one where neighbors speak to each other and enjoy visiting about their day.

Have you ever taken a trip on Amtrak?
In January, 2008 I rode Amtrak from KC to St. Louis (Kirkwood). The train left KC at 4:00pm. The train didn't arrive at the Kirkwood station until 1:50am...nearly 5 hours late. We sat on the track just east of Jefferson City for over 4 hours...due to a problem with a freight train ahead of us. The conductor told me this was not uncommon and he'd experienced trips where they didn't arrive in St. Louis before dawn. I could've driven to St. Louis and back in the time I sat on that train. The train stunk like an outhouse, the food was terrible, and some jerk spoke on his phone loudly the entire trip even though the conductor told the passengers that cell phone use was to be only at a minimum in the coach. The employees on the train were, in my opinion, lazy and not interested in the welfare of the passengers. My return trip was only 90 mins late and I was grateful. I used to ride this train regularly when I was in college back in the 80's. I'll never ride it again.

State smoking ban will prohibit some outdoor smoking at Lawrence businesses
