Biography
oh horrors, I'm a 32nd degree Mason, retired from the outside world, with a desire to be somewhat "centrist" politically, inasmuch as I agree with some of both of the very divergent views of the two primary political parties, but, in large part I vehemently disagree with BOTH sides, so, basically I'm a rank-ass independent. Politically, socially, economically conservative, but the radical right kinda makes me sick, so I don't/can't say I'm on THEIR side, hence, my independent, make my own mind up position.
How I came to live in Lawrence
lived there back in "92, '93' and 94. Followed a blue-eyed redhead there, then moved on.
Affiliations
Oh, right...affiliations...next to none...
Hobbies
I read...a lot. Other than than, I do a thing I call "idioolgy", not to be confused with "ideology"...two radically different things...idiology being, in MY opinion, the observation, from a hopefully safe distance, the really idiotic things humanity generates...basically, it's the study of stupid people, of which there never seems to be a shortage...the only shortage being patience, on my part, until such time as my disgust simply overwhelms me, and I back off to my "inside-the-wire" safe spot.
Favorite music
varied...predominantly blues, and of that genre, delta blues.
Favorite books
anything by Ayn Rand...Atlas Shrugged had a tremendous impact on my viewpoints. Read same in 3 1/2 days while snowed in, back in 1973.
Favorite TV shows
Generally speaking, none...trite tripe, most.
Favorite movies
...hmmm...just watched "Law Abiding Citizen"...understandable!
