Discussions come to a point in teepee gathering called Newspaper Church

When I dorve by this teepee I told someone it probably belonged to some silly white people with too much money and time to waste.
Although I might gather some folks, stand beneath a giant umbrella and discuss our feelings about the antics of Bazooka Joe.
Finally, Could we just let the poor dog have the blasted stick of butter? Must they wrestle it away? Can't they spring for a second stick?

What store would you like to see come to Lawrence?

I thought this town was already a combination bar and bank?

Lawrence man Robert Grey guilty of raping KU student in 1997

I was at Jury selection but didn't get chosen to serve on this one. What little evidence that was talked about that day seemed substantial and the defense attorney really didn't seem to have anything to build a case with. I'm glad the victim has some sort of closure now that a jury has validated whom she says attacked her. It still makes me feel wierd that I spent the eight hours sitting across from a rapist during jury selection.

Area physician, diabetes expert extols new low-carb diet report

Mary Vernon was pushing phen-phen on prospective patients, including myself, a few years ago. Everyone knows how well that "solution" turned out. Hopefully most people will "just say no" to this quack.

Lawrence summer filled with tragedy

Why is there a video on the front page of a newspaper? Shouldn't I see a printed article? If I wanted to watch a channel 6 news broadcast I would turn on the tv.
