Former President Bush accepts Dole prize, encourages public service

President Bush was a joy to listen to. As he spoke, for nearly 45 minutes, it was hard to remember at times that he's 84 years old.My wife was happy none of the hecklers were sitting hear us. I would probably have been escorted out, along with the then unconscious heckler, as I would not have tolerated such behavior if one of them was near me.Freedom of speech has it's time and place, and today's venue was not the right place for such uncouth behavior. Much to my dismay, the security that escorted them out did so without the use of a taser.

The national minimum wage is $5.85 per hour. Kansas' minimum wage is $2.65 per hour. What do you consider to be a fair minimum wage?

Completely agree with those advocating letting the market forces determine the wages.

I have never been to any area, be it large metropolitan or small rural, where there was not jobs available in the classified section of the newspaper.

An increased minimum wage does not help anyone in the long term, it is merely a method of political appeasement to the poorly educated masses.
