Heard on the Hill: New scholarship grid will still use weighted GPAs; no mass retirements coming to KU; Hot Dog Man will be on campus for sixth year
the administration and the human resources department pushed for it…
and true, they did allowed the employees to vote on it...
the first vote was a tie...
(with thousands of votes cast that seemed like an unbelievable coincidence to many)
regardless... to suggest that the KU administration wasn’t key in the decision is a little silly...
it was their idea... and ultimately their decision...

regarding the bit about no KU employees being eligible for the early retirement deal...
the Unclassified employees at KU are a small percentages of those left out of this deal...
what it fails to mention is that Classified employees across the State are eligible for the deal...
but there are no longer any Classified State employees at KU...
the University had them switched to University Service Staff employees several years back...
so, they are left out of this deal...
I wonder if there will be any other deals they are left out of in the future...

KDOT commits $192 million to complete South Lawrence Trafficway
no money for schools...
but plenty of money to save people 10 minutes of driving time...
quit wasting my money on idiots who have planned their lives so poorly that they have to drive down 23rd street in rush hour traffic...
