Lawrence Police Department report of Taser usage released

I would like to reiterate what the others have said...As a business owner for 10 years in Lawrence and also a rowdy KU grad prior to that, in my younger years, I had the opportunity to interact with numerous LPD officers during my bar escapades. Every single one of them treated me fair and professional. It seems like society expects police officers to kiss their as* while performing their duties, especially here in Lawrence. They have a job to do, a very tough one at that, and I expect them to be firm, fair, and professional, which I have come to see in my interaction.

As a business owner, I have had the opportunity to interact with several of the downtown beat officers over the years. I can say that each situation was courteous and my expectations were fully met with professionalism.

Lawrence police unveil list of calls from previous 48 hours

All I can say is wow... I was shocked to see that many police calls in Lawrence....maybe in a month but not two days. Keep up the good work!!!

Thingagain...From what I read, I did not feel any privacy concerns were being violated. It appears they are only providing general addresses, not specifics....and no names are being publicized. As people have stated before, all of this information and more can be heard on police scanners, with people's real names and addresses being given.

Lawrence police officer sent to hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries following assault during traffic stop

I read the article...Good thing Officer Bordman is in good shape and knows how to fight for his life or this could have ended badly!!! Glad to see a good samaritan came to his aid, probably met all the difference in the outcome.

Lawrence police officer sent to hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries following assault during traffic stop

Wishing a quick recovery for the officer... Anyone that assaults a police officer is a POS in my books and I hope the Judicial system feels the same way!!!
