I don't believe Chick-fil-a is a downtown type eatery. I could be wrong, but it doesn't fit their style.

I have had this problem as well. My solution was to mark a day of the week or every other week, to visit during operation hours. Doing it that way tends to make it a treat, so it never gets old.

I am 100% for a Chick-fil-a location, regardless of it's placement in Lawrence. As long as it's closer than the one in Olathe. I have been to the express "Chick-fil-a", not what I'd call a true wonder. It really stinks in there, anyway. A lot of noise, too.
If it ever is to be scouted, hopefully it will be central, but I can only see it hitting the west end of town.

Don't think anyone but KU students care to venture down there. I have spoken to Chick-fil-a via email, and no one has scouted this area for a stand-alone restaurant. I believe it is only a rumor.
