Statehouse Live: KDOT announces plan to cut 40 positions

I think it means there are 800 employees who work at KDOT headquarters. Not just in one department. In all the departments at KDOT headquarters.

Installation of cable median barrier to begin next week on K-10

I really don't think you can blame dangerous highways in the Lawrence area on college kids. I drive K-10 everyday and rarely do I see a college kid driving erratically. Half-asleep commuters are all I see.

City Commission tells downtown car show organizers to rethink plans

I'd like to see actual attendance numbers of people who don't own cars and went to those shows. I'm just saying...with food stands and the need to stay with your car all day I am not convinced it will bring enough revenue downtown to justify inconveniencing people who are headed downtown to actually spend money for such a long period of time.

City Commission tells downtown car show organizers to rethink plans

I'm not convinced this car show is going to bring much revenue downtown especially given the amount of time they want to close down Mass Street.

KU basketball player Mario Little arrested after altercation involving girlfriend, suspended indefinitely

So you think if someone does something criminal, like committing battery against a few people, they can just admit they are wrong, apologize and move on? Or is this standard only for Division I basketball players?

KU basketball player Mario Little arrested after altercation involving girlfriend, suspended indefinitely

Does it really matter whether or not his intention was to hurt her? He was angry at a situation and reacted violently which is never okay. Even if you catch your girlfriend cheating. And even if you are only reacting violently to the person she was with. Being wronged does not give you a blank check to react however you want.
